Table management software for dine-in restaurants in Pakistan

Good table service comes down to three things: the order reaches the kitchen fast, the bill is right, and you know which tables are free. ArfaPOS shows every table's status and tags each order to its table.

Free and occupied at a glance

Set up tables with capacity and location, and see in grid or list view which ones are free and which are occupied. All plans.

Orders tagged to tables

Every dine-in order carries its table number to the kitchen and onto the bill, so food and bills never go to the wrong family.

Printable QR table cards

Print a QR card for each table from the admin portal, with your logo on it.

Waiters order on tablets

On Business, waiters pick the table on a tablet and send the order to the kitchen without walking to the counter.

Diners order from their phone

With QR table ordering, diners scan, order, call a waiter or ask for the bill from their own phone.

What table management really needs

When restaurant owners search for table management software, they usually want to fix the same few things: orders getting mixed up between tables, food arriving late, bills that do not match what was eaten, families waiting at the door while a cleared table sits empty, and no clear idea of how the hall is performing. Most Pakistani family restaurants, BBQ places and hotel restaurants run on walk-in customers, and what they need is a tight flow from the table to the kitchen to the bill.

ArfaPOS handles this with table management on every plan. You add each table with its capacity and location, for example "Family hall, table 6, 8 seats". The cashier and waiters see which tables are free and which are occupied, and every dine-in order is attached to its table.

How a dine-in order flows

  1. A family sits at table 6. The waiter takes the order on a tablet, or the family scans the QR card and orders from their phone, or the waiter brings it to the counter.
  2. The order is tagged to table 6, and the table shows as occupied.
  3. The order appears on the kitchen display system with the table number, and the kitchen starts cooking.
  4. Extra naan or a second round of drinks is added to the same table's order.
  5. When the family asks for the bill, it prints from that order with menu prices applied. Payment is taken by cash, JazzCash, EasyPaisa or card, or split between them, and the table is free again.

Because the kitchen and the bill work from the same order, the two classic dine-in problems go away: food that was served but never billed, and bills that include something the table never received. Waiter tablets and QR ordering are covered on their own pages: waiter tablet ordering and QR menu ordering.

Using reports to run the hall

Dine-in is its own order type, and the value of that shows up in the reports. A hotel restaurant in Peshawar compares a typical Saturday with a typical Tuesday:

DayDine-in ordersDine-in sales (Rs)Average bill (Rs)
Saturday140434,0003,100
Tuesday60156,0002,600

Saturday serves more than twice as many tables, and each table also spends Rs 500 more. That tells the owner two things. First, Saturday needs more waiters on the floor, because service speed there is worth real money. The peak hours report shows exactly when. Second, Tuesday has spare capacity: 80 fewer orders than Saturday. If a weekday family deal brings in even 20 extra tables at the Tuesday average of Rs 2,600, that is Rs 52,000 more on a single slow day.

Filling empty tables on slow days

  • Weekday deals. A family platter offered Monday to Thursday only, shown on the menu, QR menu and customer display.
  • WhatsApp messages to regulars on a slow afternoon, announcing the evening deal.
  • Loyalty points that make the fifth visit cheaper, so families pick you on an ordinary night. See restaurant loyalty program.
  • Lunch offers for nearby offices, when the hall would otherwise be half empty between 1 pm and 3 pm.

Controlling staff in a busy hall

In a dine-in restaurant, several people touch each order: waiter, cashier, cook, manager. Role permissions in ArfaPOS keep each person to their part, and staff log in with a PIN or fingerprint. Cashiers bill and print. Discounts and deletions on a waiter's tablet need a manager PIN. Only the owner sees full reports and changes prices. When a bill is disputed, the order record and audit log show what was entered, by whom and when.

If your restaurant also does takeaway or delivery from the same kitchen, those orders are entered under their own types, so a rush of delivery orders does not hide how the hall performed. For the bigger picture of counter billing, see restaurant POS software.
